Orphaned as a child, MO MA (ZHOU WENZHUO) grew up in the country and started learning Tai Chi from his mentor at a very young age. To express gratitude to his mentor, and to accomplish the will of his father, MA seeks to pursue the highest level of Tai Chi. He challenges TUEN HIU-SING (LAM, RAYMOND), the leader of the top-ranked Chong Lung Sect, to a contest but is defeated in the end. To beat SING has then become his only goal. Different people have different attitudes to love - even those born on the same day in the same year do not necessarily share the same views. YAU CHI-WING (CHENG, KEVIN) and HUI WAI-YAN (WONG CHUNG CHAK, BOSCO) were both born on the seventh day of August, but one takes relationships seriously while the other is so money-minded and sees love as a tool to get higher up the social ladder.

The tale begins on the seventh of August, when WING and YAN first encounter their own dream girl on the same island. WING works as a lifeguard on the outlying island. He gets to know pet shop assistant LING KA-YAN (CHOW LAI KI, NIKI) by chance and is soon mesmerized by her endearing personality. YAN who works at a coffee shop meets a romance comic artist called WONG CHI-KWAN (TONG SZE WING, NATALIE). Being misled into believing that the girl is from a rich family, YAN decides to chase her. He would never have thought that someone as calculating as himself would end up falling into a love trap.

美麗的開始

情路多險阻
由於志穎與加恩家庭背景懸殊，加上志穎一直沒有穩定的工作，令加恩父親兆佳對志穎存有偏見，反對二人交往。此外，志穎父親世勛再次出現，更利用志穎與加恩關係，靠近加恩，對其不利，志穎怕加恩受到傷害，竟毆打父親，此舉讓加恩陷入迷茫中，不知自己是否愛錯了人，後來得悉志穎身世後，終明白志穎情有可原，加恩更緩和父子關係。志穎感激加恩之餘，決心改變兆佳對自己的偏見，發奮向上。
就在此時，兆佳的世交朋友有權出現，有權當面直斥志穎謀財害命。原來，有權的女兒阮靜三年前曾與志穎拍拖，二人更往日本旅行，但阮靜自此一去不返，且其戶口一大筆錢被提走，有權認定是志穎所為。志穎亦不向加恩解釋，反讓加恩產生不信任，二人感情亮起紅燈。及後，志穎一言不發去了日本，加恩追去問個究竟，及重新評估志穎是否一個值得愛及可托終身的人…

愛情遊戲
許懷仁，一個與志穎豁然不同的大學畢業生，由細到大也懂得為自己的將來打算和計劃，有自己的一套賺錢理論，從小立志當老闆。畢業後，與同學合作做生意，幾次的失誤，令他們血本無歸，懷仁其後轉經營咖啡店，等待時機再殺出一條血路。新店經營不久，聘請了幫廚游志穎，但志穎性格不羈，又經常自把自為，常有驚人之舉，令懷仁等人退避三舍。然而，原來志穎和懷仁的命運有著很微妙的關連，在冥冥中有著神奇的交替，令懷仁對志穎這個神秘莫測的人有著一份說不出的感覺…
另一方面，機緣巧合下，懷仁認識了少女芷君，誤以為君是個有錢女，並存心認為，只要追到芷君，便能得到金錢上的資助，事業就能扶搖直上。而芷君其實是個愛情故事漫畫家，主動接近懷仁，只是想借懷仁做個實驗。在芷君和懷仁都別有用心下，二人開始情侶的關係。「熱戀」期間，芷君為甩掉懷仁，表現橫蠻，懷仁為了達到目的，唯有忍受、遷就，這反而令芷君感動不已，二人在相處過程中，真正擦出愛火花。唯天意弄人，就在芷君和懷仁愛得最真心的時候，他們「各懷鬼胎」的真相也被揭破，二人斷然分手。
偶然機會下，懷仁重遇芷君，二人強裝瀟洒，不肯承認曾經深愛的事實，只是和芷君重新建立好友關係，並邀芷君到店舖幫忙。芷君以為懷仁一心追求有錢女，竟把自己一個有錢女的好朋友Jessie介紹給懷仁，懷仁竟也大方地和Jessie開始拍拖。
在與Jessie相處過程中，懷仁才明白自己根本不能忘記芷君，在金錢和愛情之間，如果要他重新選擇的話，他會捨棄金錢而取愛情，在他猶疑未決的時候，得悉芷君打算到日本發展港。相對著志穎面臨著一段生離死別、至死不渝的愛情，懷仁似乎得到了啟示…

The original "War of In-Laws" was a run-away smash hit in 2006 by numerous accounts. It created the crowd-pleasing on screen couple, Bosco Wong and Myolie Wu, while casting Liza Wang as the "godzilla" reincarnated mother-in-law.

[News] Wasabi Mon Amour "Sacrificed"?

Michael Tao Dai-Yu, Louisa So Yuk-Wah, and Bernice Liu Pik-Yee's new series Wasabi Mon Amour will be released during the Chinese New Year period, judging from past records, the ratings are usually low during this time. Wasabi Mon Amour is sad to be "sacrificed" because it is set to air at such a time, some say this series is arranged to be broadcasted during this "unfavorable" time because of Michael Tao's "unlikable" image regarding his rumors with On the First Beat co-star Sonija Kwok Sin-Nei.

"Zai Zhe Li Deng Ni" is directed by two directors, Xu Zhao Ren and Lin Zi Ping, and consists of 22 episodes. The estimate is that it will cost NT$ 60 millions to make. It will showcase the beauty of Taiwan's eight flagship sites via romantic script. So, While watching the series, audience will be attracted by the beautiful scenery and visit Taiwan, and thus increase Taiwan's tourism business.

The backdrop of the story is a taxi company and light eateries. It intends to show the real life in Taiwan. It will demonstrate the vitality of people in Taiwan through the joy and sorrow of regular folks. In the meantime, it will feature Taiwan's four characteristics: gourmet food and snacks, night markets, hospitality, and 24-hour travel environment.

Extra info: It's confirmed that Vanness Wu Jian Hao will be a special guest star in this drama.

Personal thought: What attracted me to this drama is Michelle Chen Yan Xi. I love her acting in Why Why Love and was glad that she was given a lead opposite Vic Zhou. Hope she'll be better in this one.
