JIANG SHI XIAO (Miu Kiu Wai) is released from jail in Taiwan. He returns to Hong Kong immediately and tries to find his daughter JIANG YOU YOU (Elanne Kong) so as to heal their relationship. By pretending to be friendly with the one who made him in jail, the gang leader TO YIK TIN (Lam Lei), XIAO is eager to get even with him, and also intends to draw two young policemen to his side in order to strengthen his influence. LEE PAK KIU (Sammul Chan) from the Emergency Unit is reluctant to get close with a gangster while CHUNG LAP MAN (Ng Cheuk Hai, Ron) from Special Duty Squad believes that XIAO could help them fight against TIN by acting as an informer. MAN develops a close relationship with him gradually but he has been dismissed before accomplishing the task. Afterwards, XIAO takes MAN under his wing and MAN devotes himself to the triad society.
TIN always put XIAO on his guard and he asks his trusted follower LEUNG SIU TONG (Tse Tin Wah) to keep a close eye on XIAO. On the other hand, XIAO fights back by making use of TIN's wife CHING YEUK SAM (Chow Hoi Mei) to strengthen his power in the gang. XIAO eventually becomes the gang leader and he believes that everything is under control. However, the drug trafficking business keeps running into trouble abnormally. XIAO begins to question the loyalties among his confidants.

NIP CHI YUEN (Ma Steven), who works in the anti-smuggling camp, is determined to wipe out the Tau's Fort, which is the stronghold for salt smugglers. He pretends to be a down-and-out scholar. TAU SING SUET (Yeung Yi), daughter of the chief smuggler, sympathizes with YUEN and puts him up in the village. Later, they even become fond of each other. During an anti-smuggling operation SUET is badly hurt and has since been separated from YUEN and her family. Fortunately she is saved by WU TING HIN (Wong Ho Yin), son of salt merchant WU KIN (Kwok Fung). HIN takes her home. One day, SUET is horrified to see the dead bodies of her parent being hung on the wall of the city tower, and that the official standing on the top of the tower telling the public not to sell smuggled salt is none other than the man she misses day and night. She is heartbroken, and her love for YUEN turns into hatred that moment on.
HIN finds a job for SUET at the salt company his family runs to help her get over her unhappiness. To repay him, she devotes herself entirely to the job. As time goes by, HIN starts to fall in love with her. However his critical illness making him hesitates to express his love for her. SUET's real identity comes to light when her younger uncle reappears out of the blue. HIN, for fear that his family will report SUET, proposes to her.

Coming from a very humble background, POON MUK HING (Ma Tak Chung) nevertheless is content with his lot. He works for the POONs of Dongshan as driver. His true identity of the eldest son of the family comes to light when he saves POON CHEUK WAH (Wong Ho Yin), the young master, in an accident. CHONG FUNG YEE (Wang Ming Chun, Liza), the first daughter-in-law in the family, has to admit unwillingly the fact that when she married into the family she was already pregnant. PANG KAM CHAU (Au Yeung Chun Wah, Bobby) used to sell parallel imports but his girlfriend has taken away everything from him. In order to reestablish his career, CHAU plays tricks to gain the trust of a soccer team leader FAN TAI WAI (Hui Shiu Hung). Through the help of WAI, CHAU becomes the Operation Director of the soccer team and he promises to help all team players achieve excellent results in the coming public examinations. CHAU teaches the team players in an unconventional way. He encourages them to hang around at pubs and chase girls actively but the result is disastrous. CHING KWOK CHU (Kok Ching Hung), the soccer team's sponsor, tries to hire the famous tutorial queen YIM KA LAI (Tang Shui Man) to help coaching the team. LAI's teaching style is totally different from CHAU and they fight with each other all the time.

The academic performance of the team varies a lot but CHAU discovers that WAI's son FAN PUI TUNG (Law Chung Him) has plenty of potential so he pays special attention to him. During the time, CHU's younger brother suddenly takes away the ownership of the soccer team. CHU tries to take revenge by asking LAI to make the soccer team into a mess. Generations come and go, but the "love" remains forever.

CHUNG SIU HO (Lee Sze Kei, Louise) and her husband KAM TAI CHO (Ha Yu) have been working hard for many years to establish a famous reputation for their Moonlight Cake Shop. However, HO discovers that CHO commits adultery with her best friend YAN HUNG (Yim, Michelle) and she breaks up with him miserably. HO brings along her children KAM WING HO (Lam, Raymond), KAM WING HING (Chen Fala) and her adopted daughter SUEN HO YUET (Yeung Yi) to set up another cake shop for a living.

HUNG moves in to live with CHO and she starts playing tricks in the family. She tries pleasing her mother-in-law SHEH KWAN LAI (Lee Heung Kam) in every ways while disuniting her stepson and CHO. Outside the family, HUNG starts expanding their business rapidly and HO's younger sister CHUNG SIU SA (Kwan Kuk Ying, Susanna) is displeased. SA decides to fight for the ownership of their cake shop's brand name in court with HUNG and their relationship with HUNG further deteriorates.

Apart from the cake shop business, HO also spends a lot of efforts on her children. Her oldest son KAM WING KA (Chan Ho, Moses) is not interested in managing the cake shop at all and he indulges himself on stock trading. He also develops an entangling relationship with his cousin LO KA MEI (Tsui Tsz Shan, Kate) and YUET at the same time. On the other hand, HO's younger son WING HO takes up the role of a father in the family and he works hard all the time to earn a living. WING HO loves his childhood friend CHAU (Chung Ka Yan) whole-heartedly but CHAU is in love with the doctor LING CHI SHUN (Wong Chung Chak).

HO works hard unconditionally to strive for the well being of her family members. HUNG, on the other hand, is a very mean person who values her own benefits only. CHO is caught between the two women all the time and he feels helpless. One day, a disaster happens at the cake shop. Here comes a time when human nature, family bonds and love are brought to a trail.

愛情遊戲

Michael Tao Dai-Yu, Louisa So Yuk-Wah, and Bernice Liu Pik-Yee's new series Wasabi Mon Amour will be released during the Chinese New Year period, judging from past records, the ratings are usually low during this time. Latest Burning Flame III Cast Rumors

Burning Flame Returns, The Ultimate Combination

TVB's 2008 grand production, Burning Flame III was highly anticipated from the very start. A series of male leads have mostly been confirmed to take part in the third installment, which includes Wong Hei, Kevin Cheng Ka-Wing, Steven Ma Chun-Wai, Bosco Wong Chung-Chak and Ray Lui Leung-Wai. As with the female leads, various rumors and different versions of "the story" have been told, there has been many changes ever since the series was first announced. So far, ex-TVB "fa dans" and previous Burning Flame series cast Flora Chan Wai-San, Maggie Cheung Ho-Yee and Melissa Ng Mei-Hang have all been contacted. The current rumored confirmed list includes singer Miriam Yeung Chin-Wah, "rumor queen" Sonija Kwok Sin-Nei and Best Actress Esther Kwan Wing-Ho.

RAY JOINS, KATHY REJECTS
Earlier during TVB's award presentation, Ray Lui presented the Best Actress award, when interviewed by reporters, Ray expressed his interest in returning. Ray seeks a well written script and a good partner, later while attending TVB general manager Stephen Chan Chi-Wan's "Be My Guest" show, Stephen also mentioned that TVB wants to recruit Ray back. The presenter of the Best Actor award, Kathy Chow Hoi-Mei, who has set her focus in the mainland these past few years has also been negotiating with TVB, most of the details have been confirmed and the contract will be signed soon. TVB's original plan was to have ex-lovers Ray and Kathy star in Buring Flame III together, but Kathy rejected the offer, her reason: being a firefighter is too exhausting. Kathy will however star in a new series, co-starring Sunny Chan Kam-Hung. Sonija was suppose to be the one working with Sunny, but due to Kathy's rejection, Sonija was placed in Burning Flame III while Kathy took over the new series with Sunny.

MAGGIE CHEUNG RETURNS
While hosting a function recently, Maggie reveals that she will be returning on-screen soon, first filming the new season of TVB variety show "Living Up". Maggie will film a new series early 2008, when asked if it's Burning Flame III, Maggie says she hasn't decided yet because her health has just returned and she doesn't want to overwork herself. However, since the series won't start filming until March, Maggie has plenty of time to rest and prepare for the series, the chances of Maggie accepting are high.

MIRIAM ACCEPTS ROLE IN EXCHANGE FOR AWARDS
As 2007 soon comes to an end, the music awards presentations are all arriving soon, the singers all try their best to "fight" for what they want. Most singers are willing to do "more" for TVB so that their chance of getting awards can increase. The fastest and "guaranteed" method, filming a series for TVB. Miriam attended a function earlier and expressed her interest in filming a series for TVB, although she claims the series title is unknown, according the the latest buzz, the series is indeed Burning Flame III. With Miriam added to the "confirmed" cast, TVB decides to pair her up with Best Actor Kevin Cheng. TVB plans to air this series before the 08 anniversary. Due to Miriam's tight schedule, which may slow down the filming process, TVB has arranged for someone to act as the third party. The "third party" will have a significant amount of scenes with Bosco. When asked who the "third party" is, Bosco avoided answering the question by revealing that in Burning Flame III, he and Steven will be brothers.

《烈火雄心》強勢回歸小生、花旦扎堆上
無線08重頭劇《烈火雄心Ⅲ》，未拍就已令人期待，一眾男主角基本確定，計有王喜、鄭嘉穎、馬浚偉、黃宗澤、呂良偉等，但女主角方面就多番變動，已經接觸過的花旦就有陳慧珊、張可頤、吳美珩等前當家花旦，確定演出的就暫時只有楊千嬅、郭羡妮、關詠荷等。

呂良偉參演海味辭演

早前，無線頒獎典禮呂良偉擔任「最佳女主角」頒獎嘉賓，事後接受記者採訪時說有興趣回無線拍劇，最重要是劇本跟對手好，而在此前上《志雲飯局》時呂良偉就被陳志雲當場力邀回巢拍劇。久未在港露面的周海媚當晚就擔任「最佳女主角」頒獎嘉賓，同樣表示無線有同她接洽拍劇事宜，且基本已經談妥。無線本有意邀周海媚夥呂良偉拍《烈火雄心Ⅲ》，海味以做消防員太辛苦為由婉拒，但就會接拍另一部劇，同陳錦鴻合作，據悉，原角色本由郭羡妮擔任，但由於海味不肯接拍《烈火 Ⅲ》，無線遂只好將兩人對調。

張可頤全面復工

昨日，張可頤出席《童心同行愛之夜》節目並擔任司儀，透露將會全面復工，稍後便會拍攝樓盤節目《更上一層樓》，明年初更會拍攝新劇，記者問是不是《烈火 Ⅲ》，可頤就謂暫時還沒有決定是否接拍，因為剛剛回復體力，不想太辛苦。不過由於該劇大概是在明年3月開拍，相信可頤在開拍之前有足夠的時間休息，故接拍成數甚高。

千嬅拍劇換獎

年底將至，樂壇各大獎項也將陸續有來，眾歌手虎視眈眈。為討好無線在勁歌金曲頒獎典禮上佔一席位，眾人出盡法寶，最穩陣的當然是替無線拍劇了。楊千嬅前日出席藝進會活動時就表示有興趣替無線拍劇，雖未有說明是何劇，不過事實上她一早就接下了《烈火Ⅲ》，千嬅助陣，無線亦不敢怠慢，派出視帝鄭嘉穎飾演其男友。不過千嬅大忙人，分分鐘因為檔期問題而延誤拍攝進度，無線為了趕在08年台慶前播出，遂會安排另一女主角同千嬅爭鄭嘉穎，而這一女主角亦會同黃宗澤有不少對手戲，兩手準備，有備無患。至於這一女主角是誰就暫時未知，記者向黃宗澤詢問，他只是無厘頭地說劇中與馬浚偉是兄弟。

Japanese cuisine chef Chung Yau Wo (Michael Tao Tai Yu) has long been in love with his childhood friend Ko Yau Mei (Louisa So Yuk Wah), who is always interested in pursuing a career in showbiz. To realize her dream, Wo lies to the press and refers to Mei as “a most talented chef of the time”. With Wo’s help, Mei has finally landed a job as the host of a food program. My Comment:
I love series about food! It’s been a long time since TVB has done a culinary-centered series. I quite like the cast and the producer is quite good (he produced some favorites of mine such as the delicious Happy Ever After, the excellent and classic series that is A Step Into the Past, and entertaining Love and Again), so I just may watch this series.

Having lost her father at an early age, farm security guard Chan Sai Mui (Yumiko Cheng Hei Yi) grew to be an outspoken and determined woman who would do her utmost to protect her home village. It is her sincerity that has won her respect from all villagers of the Leung Choi County. Sometimes she could get too enthusiastic and impulsive that she would bring about a lot of misunderstandings. Amusingly, she has mistaken the newly appointed agricultural official Tse Wong Sheung (Steven Ma Chun Wai) for a thief and the two of them have been bitter enemies ever since. To keep himself from any possible trouble, Sheung has been avoiding Mui intentionally.

For the benefit of his son’s future, Sheung’s father - Tse Chong Tin (Ha Yu) - has not only invited the intelligent Dai Chung Man (Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung) to be Sheung’s assistant, but also found him four special bodyguards, namely Chuk, Fun, Min, and Fan. Despite the best arrangements for Sheung, he still gets framed by the corrupted officials from Changsha and is in danger of facing the most torturing punishment. Luckily, Mui and Man manage to save him in the nick of time with a jade bowl bestowed by the former emperor. To everyone’s surprise, the jade bowl turns out to be a fake, but with Man’s wit and courage, Sheung is finally saved from danger. Mui has been through a lot together with Sheung and is starting to fall in love with him. Sheung, on the other hand, has no feelings for Mui and decides to turn to Man for tips as to how to break away from her. Mysteriously, Sheung starts being pursued by a hitman soon afterwards…

Righteous young man SUN MAN KWAN (Ma Kwok Ming) comes from the grassroots. To put the doctrine "All men are equal before the law" to the test, he study law at university. After a few years of hard work he has finally become a lawyer. Although his boss appreciates his unconventional way of doing things, his colleagues always try hard to avoid him. His personal assistant, CHEUK WAI MING (Chan Kin Fung), is an exception. MING admires KWAN's out-of-the-box style and always lends him a hand on the quiet. As time goes by, two men become good friends.

KWAN defies the rich and the influential. In light of this, he looks down upon SUEN LEI LEI (Ella Koon), who is also a lawyer, for what she does and how she behaves. Their frequent co-operations very often are full of hilarious episodes. In LEI's eyes, KWAN is no different than a rascal who leads a lousy life and who always dallies with women. Later on, LEI is attacked and almost gets killed because of a lawsuit. Fortunately, KWAN comes to her rescue. Not until then does she realize she loves him indeed. But fate has it that she and MING have become lovers for the sake of her father's business. Meanwhile, just when their relationship is at a standstill, MING learns that his ex-girlfriend, CHENG CHOI YUK (Lee Sze Wan), is pregnant with his child.

Liza said that even though the background of the two characters are quite similar (referring to Miranda Priestly), but character wise, it would be totally different. There are also rumours that Liza would be having some intimate scenes with Benz Hui. Liza said, "I don't know, but I know that I would have to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on Benz Hui when he faints in one of the scenes."In this series, Myolie Wu would be heavily picked on by Liza Wang, and would have to wear 5-6inch high heels everyday. Myolie would also be partnering with Bosco, "We have not worked together for quite sometime, and we would have to build up our chemistry again. But Vivienne said that she would not be a third party in real life.

SypnosisInterior design company owner CHUNG KWOK KEUNG (Fong Chung Sun) used to be a favorite student of renowned architect KWONG SHING YUE (Chung King Fai). He gave up his dream of becoming an architect when his father passed away and he had to take up the family business. As time goes by, the ambitious KEUNG has become an ambitionless man who has no opinions of his own. He has a prosaic relationship with CHING WAI YEE (Ng Wing Mei), an estate agent who he has been going out for six years. He has to rewrite his blueprint in life with the appearance of CHEUNG MAN CHING (Yeung Yi).

CHING meets KEUNG through work. She has mixed feelings for him, but she forces herself to suppress them when she knows that he has a girlfriend. Yet the unexpected always happen. Firstly, she and YEE become close friends because of a traffic accident. Since then she has to try hard to avoid seeing KEUNG. Secondly, as if it was not worse enough, a new building project brings her and KEUNG together again. Love starts to blossom secretly between the two. Meanwhile, with the help of YUE, KEUNG pulls himself together. He is confident of handling interpersonal relationship, too. But YUE’s help has upset another student of his, who pledges to frame KEUNG up. As for relationships, KEUNG finds it hard to leave YEE, who has stuck with him through thick and thin, for CHING, who he loves truly.

Moving on from last year's collaboration with a Thai design company, the theme of this year's calendar is the move towards HDTV and a high definition "movie feel" to the smaller screen. As a result, the production of the new calendar was handed over to movie mogul and famed director Stanley Kwan (關錦鵬) to show the TVB stars in their best light.The concept that Director Kwan has tried to portray in his creation has been "The Seduction of Film" and he sought direction and advice from many professionals from cinematic production, including Bruce Yu (余家安) and William Chang (張叔平) in order to bring out the unique aura from each of the artistes.The photoshoot spanned locations in Hong Kong and Taiwan and involved 65 artistes, spanning the range of young leading stars, veteran actors and newcomers. Themes for the backgrounds included the 2008 Olympic Games that will be held in August, Miss Hong Kong and the festivities of the holidays. In line with the movie drama theme, there were also shots of Hong Kong airport, a scene from a family feud and elements of office politics.Director Kwan accepted this unusual appointment through his close links and friendships with TVB and an invitation from TVB executives Virginia Lok (樂易玲) and Chan Pui Wah (陳佩華). He graduated from TVB's training class in 1976 and although he left the company in 1979, he said that the years he spent in the film department taught him a lot of skills that he was able to put to use later during his distinguished career in film.Asked which artistes he felt had potential, the director said that they each have their own personas, but Fala Chen (陳法拉) and Kate Tsui (徐子珊) were among those who caught his attention. As for the male artistes, he was impressed with the four young males: Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Raymond Lam (林峯), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Kenneth Ma (馬國明), but it was Bosco who left him with a particularly deep impression and he felt that TVB should take steps to promote him onto the big screen.The calendar will be distributed to TVB's business contacts and clients as part of the company's end of year goodwill.
